Support Groups

  • WAUKESHA PM Waukesha County Mental Health Center: 1501 Airport Road, Waukesha. 2 support groups - one for families and one for consumers. Meets on 4th Wednesday of the month, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Not held in June, July or December. Handicap accessible.  Educational meetings follow the support groups from 7:30-8:30 p.m.  See Upcoming Events for speakers and topics.
  • Family to Family Support Group Meets the 2nd Wednesday of the month, 6:30-8:00 p.m. at the NAMI Waukesha office: 217 Wisconsin Avenue - Suite 411, Waukesha 53186.  Not held in December.
  • Peer Support Group Support group for people dealing with depression, bipolar disorder, or other mental illness diagnosis.  Family members welcome.  Meets the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of every month, 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the NAMI Waukesha office, 217 Wisconsin Avenue - Suite 411, Waukesha 53186.  For more information call: 262-524-8886.
  • Faith In Recovery Family & Consumer Combined Support Group Non-denominational faith based support group for consumers and family members.  Meets the 3rd Tuesday of the month, 7:00-8:00 p.m., with a social following each meeting, at the Holy Apostles Parish: 16000 W. National Ave., New Berlin, in the former parish rectory.  Not held in July or August.
  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder An OCD support group is held on the 2nd Wednesday & 4th Thursday of every month from 7:00-8:30 pm at First United Methodist Church: 121 Wisconsin in Waukesha. 542-4256. Guest speakers featured bi-monthly.
  • Survivors of Suicide Support group for people who have lost a loved one through suicide.  Meets the 1st Thursday of the month from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Rogers Memorial Hospital, 34700 Valley Road, Oconomowoc, in the main building in the Nashotah Room.  Contact Michelle Unertl 800-767-4411 x580 for more information.
